about

For to record "Ouidah", Darisbo made tests and a lot of recordings combining different sustains, reverbs and delays, in a drone aesthetic. He came to the conclusion that playing the guitar is unnecessary, and in the last recordings of this series, the guitar was simply static in front of the amplifier*, while the feedback was manipulated through equalization and effects. Afterwards, he forgot everything, turned off all the devices and recorded with the electric guitar without effects, something he might not have done in twenty years. The pick was a D'Andrea Spectra Sharp. The tuning was 82-106-138-179-233-302Hz. Ouidah is the city of the Gate of No Return.

This album is a hybrid compilation by musicians who see universes to be explored on guitar until the experience reborn some sound - full, pulsating and yet porous, so that can enter everything they want in it. Spine for each of the tracks, the electric guitar lifts the body of the song, hold it upright and keep it ready for movement. Each track uses all possibilities to be enhanced, each guitar is multiplied to be foundation for the noise because it is also the music that lurks and integrates the sound performance of each one. "Corpórea" means "corporal", and this compilation now wanders around the city, cables, headphones, to undo the landscape, to recreate our relationship with music, to incorporate the inaudible.

*like in some good works by Federico Barabino, which must be listened
